Newspaper Hikes cont... 4-7-11

How do I intend to deal with the unapproved rate increase? Needless to say, I do not intend to advertise in this particular paper in the near future. Admittedly, I have gotten a little complacent with my marketing strategy. My studio is already at the top on the internet search engines in my area. Due to a high traffic position on the most well known boulevard in the area, I receive several inquires a week from my huge sign. I receive at least one referral per week from an existing client.  Why do I feel a need to advertise in the paper at all? Because I now have a total of four trainers and four assistant trainers to support. This staffing allows me to come and go as I please, knowing that my competant staff will continue to carry on in a professional manner. The first ad in the new paper comes out today. I shall keep you updated on the response. How do I intend to retalitate against my former paper? It has already begun. I (fortunately) have an outstanding bill with them. It is only $700, but I can still make my point with this amount. I shall pay it in full, of course....$64 at a time! Every time I receive a communication from their accounting department, I am going to remind them of the 64% PRICE HIKE! They called about 5 minutes ago and we had a chat. It was FUN!
