St. Clair Shores Gov. Cont. 10-12-10
The background in the previous post is important. I felt it neccesary to point out that starting the business was not done without difficulty. The zoning board and City Council were very demanding. Of course, because I prevailed, I found them to be quite fair. In fact, they seemed very enthusiastic to have me on board. The business took off quickly. Not only did I keep the grass mowed, I hired St. Clair Shores residents to work there. People came from other cities to work out there. I paid taxes to the City. I spent money in the City. I also kept my Motorhome parked in the back of the building in a fenced-in area. I inquired before I did so, and the nice lady at the building department said it was fine with them. After some time, an old biddy across the street complained. She didn't like looking at it. The City gave me warnings for another year. I ignored them. After a year, they issued me a ticket. The Motorhome wasn't in the way of anything, and I continued to pay my rent and employees and my taxes. I fought the ticket in court, but a very strange judge went out to my business and decided he did not like it parked there either. I wrote to the Mayor, Curt Dumas. Curt called me. I explained the situation. He said he would take care of it. He told me not to worry. But then the Mayor checked to see if I had contributed to his campaign fund. I never did. He waited for me to offer him a bribe of some sort. I never did. A couple of weeks later some idiot named Bob Ehrie called me. He said he was the City Attorney. He told me the Judge had ordered me to move the Motorhome. Bob Ehrie gloated for a moment. It was then that I realized that Curt the Mayor was not going to help. I moved the Motorhome. But two months ago, I got some tremendous news about Curt Dumas, the ex-Mayor of St. Clair Shores. To be cont....
