Attended the Sarasota Chalk Festival this weekend. I do not think the Detroit area has anything remotely resembling this. I thought it would be a few drawings on the pavement and the usual array of vendors in their little white booths hawking homemade jewelry and artwork. I was wrong. Approximately 6 or 7 city blocks were barricaded off. Thousands of people attended. Some of the featured artists were skilled enough to restore the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. I took the Samoyed. It turns out that people who appreciate art also like huge furry Siberian sled dogs. The dog was swarmed at times. As she gets older, she is becoming even more apathetic to all the attention. There were no chalk drawings of furry dogs, but I did take about 20 pics of the ones that did catch my eye.

| This large drawing was not nearly as risque as it seems at first glance |

| This one was very clever when viewed from the proper angle. |
