Time to Bury the Hatchet? 12-01-10
I have never denied that Art Van's Mistress (Summer in the books, Lorin in real life) was not attractive. With her long dark hair and almost regal features, she intrigued and captivated the moment she walked into a room. If pressed, I believe that even Lorin would admit to being a tiny bit self-centered. Others may claim that it was more than a tiny bit. But now, I know how Michelangelo felt after completing his masterwork, the Sistine Chapel. At one point, with her help of course, I had Art Van's future Mistress carved and honed into a breathtaking (and apparently irresistable) piece of living sculpture. I am sure that she still exercises. Her tennis game is still improving, I hear. But now that I am down in Florida, and she is down in Florida for the winter, I sure would like one more crack at honing and perfecting what I started nine years ago. Lorin, I am sure that this will get back to you eventually. It is no secret that I felt mislead by Art after I dropped everything to become the "help." But thanks to consistent sales of the books, I consider us even (okay, I might be a little bit ahead) and now I want to give back. Lorin, can we go back to that place...to that zone we were in when we worked out together? Can I sculpt you one last time while there is still so much potential to work with? I just saw this pic and look forward to getting you back into top shape again. Please contact me.
