The excerpt below is from today's Detroit News. Councilwoman Brenda said she don't think nothing is more important than the budget problems. Oh brother. Certainly using the English language properly is not high on Brenda's list. You are in good hands, Detroit.
Council members said Tuesday they need to stay at work to demonstrate the seriousness of the city's fiscal situation. Members are working on how to formulate a plan how to deal with the panel's meetings, but will work through Dec. 16. The city will shut down operations afterward until the end of the year.
"Too many people don't know what the real deal is. People don't know what financial straits this city is really in," Councilwoman Brenda Jones said. ""I don't think nothing is more important than the budget problems. We need to let the public know we are addressing the problems. We're not going to do it (by) talking about a lawsuit in internal operations."
